In Western medieval legend, an incubus (plural incubi) is a demon in male form supposed to lie upon sleepers, especially women, in order to have sexual intercourse with them. It was believed to do this in order to spawn other incubi. The incubus drains energy from the woman on whom it performs sexual intercourse in order to sustain itself,[citation needed] and some sources indicate that it may be identified by its unnaturally cold penis.[1] Religious tradition holds that repeated intercourse with such a spirit by either males or females (the female version of the incubus is called a succubus) may result in the deterioration of health, or even death. A number of rational explanations have been offered for the origin of the incubus legends. They involve the Medieval preoccupation with sin, especially sexual sins of women. Victims may have been experiencing waking dreams or sleep paralysis. Also, nocturnal arousal, orgasm or nocturnal emission could be explained by the idea of creatures causing an otherwise guilt-producing and self-conscious behavior.[4] Purported victims of incubi could have been the victims of sexual assault by a real person. Rapists may have attributed the rapes of sleeping women to demons in order to escape punishment. A friend or relative may have assaulted the victim in her sleep. The victims and, in some cases the clergy,[5] may have found it easier to explain the attack as supernatural rather than confront the idea that the attack came from someone in a position of trust. I have found personally that there can be a transfer of energy (psychic) from a partner to myself during sex. It is (as you might imagine) a VERY powerful energy due to the physical/psychological/emotional energy build-up and release during sex. I can bring this energy into myself, feeding (if you will) on a small ammount of the energy generated. As I said, it is quite powerful and generates a physical/psychological effect as I draw it in (similar to what I have read of the effects of some of your more powerful mind altering drugs) and producing a euphoric effect well beyond that of mundane climax.    Jul 19, 2008 11:42 pm kaloloking Posts : 166 offline ...hm. That's incredibly hard to analyze. It sounds like you have the basic genetic structure of a psychic vampire but the mental triggers of an incubus. Is it possible that you're a situation-based psi-type vamp? I may just be rambling at this point. Neither single method of feeding compares to what I refer to as 'trois' which invloves both blood and psi during sex. Doesn't a woman have to call an incubus? From what I understand it is demaon alot of lonely woman call upon. All I know for certain is that most of what is written in history/mythology regarding the incubus seems to desribe similar abilities (though typically more extreme ammounts in mythology) to my preferred method of sating myself. When I do this (with permission, of course) partners typically enter a distinctly different natural euphoric state during, and have significant tiredness or lethargy afterward (from the transfer of energy, I gather). The only theory I can offer is that you, and perhaps incubi in general, are a sub-division of the psi-vamp that somehow experiences a sensation far beyond ordinary satisfaction. The theory sounds as peculiar as the situation but that's why I think it might be a fit. After all, some humans are 'super-tasters' with unbelievably sensitive taste buds, so it could be all too logical that the vampiric form of 'feeding' (no better word available, sorry) would have a more intense level in some than others. P.S.
