Vampires Exist
I'll ask you to bear with me on this, as this whole topic will continue
to develop over a period of time, to allow me time to think and really
chew over each entry.

I'm not sure this topic has been looked at in current times from a Catholic Theology perspective,
and I'm not wanting to re-hash other historical works, rather, I want this to be fresh.
To help prime you, shall we say, for this writing, I'd suggest that you get on your favorite
search engine and look up the
HIGHGATE VAMPIRE RESEARCH SOCIETY
and spend the time to read every single page.
I'm not endorsing Bishop Manchester, but
it will give you some aspects you may find helpful here.

The images used here are from a early 30's German
impressionist film titled as
VAMPYR
and is to my mind one of the finest
vampire films, and, all artistic bells and whistles aside,
provides an Very Accurate portrayal of what
effect a true vampiric assault has upon the actual victim
and his/her world and persons in their world.

Since this presentation is a theological one,
the terms I'll be using come from the Catholic Dictionary
which is not based upon modern ways, but pure theological aspect.
These definitions will follow, but first:
please understand that what we call a vampire,
with such lack of fear and contempt,
IS a real manifestation or event.
Limited in scope and frequency, that has happened
in the past, the present, and that will occur in the future.

To quote Bishop Manchester, a vampire is
"Biocidal"
and I support his use of that term~

Before I start into the theological terminology
I'd like to make one more suggestion:
While Mr. Konstantinos and I are WAY on opposite
sides of the fence as regards theology, still,
I am very impressed by his book on this subject
and he should be included in your book-search
if you intend to delve deeper on your own.

His book: VAMPIRES The Occult Truth
is reading I stongly suggest to you.

From The Catholic Dictionary

(I'm giving the *short* version)
ANGEL: Angels are pure spirits, i.e., they have nothing
material about them and, unlike the human soul, they are
not associated with matter. They are persons. They have by nature
an intelligence more acute and a power greater than those of men.

ARCHANGEL: A spirit in the eighth rank of the nine orders (choirs)
of the celestial hierarchy. The Church honors three archangels by name:
Michael, the captain of the heavenly host; Gabriel, the angel of the Annunciation;
and Raphael, who by tradition moved the water of the pool of Bethsaida.

DEMON: A name commonly given to the fallen angels/spirits under authority of Satan.

DEMONIAC: A person possessed by a demon or evil spirit.

DEVIL: A name commonly given to those angels who, with Lucifer or Satan
(The Devil) rebelled against God. So far as their natural abilities are concerned
they do not differ from the other angels; they are purely spiritual beings, who by their
actions have lost supernatural grace.

HELL: Is a true place and state of eternal punishment.
It consists primarily in the deprivation of the enjoyment and sight of God
face to face (pain of loss) and secondarily, the infliction of positive punishment
thru the reality of fire, though it is an unearthly fire (pain of sense).

LUCIFER(Latin~light-bearer): The proper name of Satan, the chief fallen angel.

POSSESSION/DEMONICAL: Possession is of different degrees and often intermittent.
It manifests itself by the inward control of human limbs and organs
by an agent distinct from the owner.

RESURRECTION OF THE BODY: The reanimation of the bodies of all men, whether saved
or lost, on the last day.

~Many other terms are left out by me here, as we likely all have common
understanding of them, but the above terms play an intricate part in this discussion.

So how does all this come into play?
With God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit:
the Holy and Eternal Trinity, as the center, there are nine
choirs of the angelic world that eminate outwards towards mankind.
~Seraphim
~Cerubim
~Thrones
~Dominations
~Powers
~Principalities
~Virtues
~Archangels
~Guardian Angels

Lucifer was a Seraphim, the light-bearer, of the highest choir.
When he was cast down, scripture tells that he took a percentage of the nine
choirs with him, those he had seduced to rebellion.
So, if you wonder why we have the affliction of not just devils and demons,
but of imps and all forms of evil spirits known by so many names
and having such a diversity of powers,
just remember that they are culled from the nine choirs.

These created beings, or direct children of God as I'll term them,
did not share in the joy and wonder the others felt, when God revealed
that his love would extend beyond just them.
That God would create man and woman, angelic souls yet mortal bodies,
that he would or could love them and would grace them with the physical
world and life, and after, grant them the world of heaven.
While the holy angels marvelled at the magnitude of that kind of love,
and loved God even more because of it, Lucifer and those who
listened to him and were seduced, rallied against God, as if to suggest
that he had somehow stolen their rightful heritage.
It was shouted that THEY were closer to being the same as God! And would not abide this.
And, as God so often does, he used the smallest of things to confound
the greatest of (now) adversaries. He chose a little archangel
from the far outer choirs named Michael, to cast the others from
heaven with the cry "Who is like unto God?!".

And so, these fallen angels, and with them Lucifer
of the highest order, hate God and even more, his
adopted children...you and I.

So, how do you strike at God when you actually are nothing in comapre?

The same way you strike at any parent, if you truly want to hurt them.

You hurt and victimize his children.

...and so, along with demoniacs, we have a even
more obscene parody of possession~that of a
mortal body by a vampiric spirit.

Now...keep in mind, I am a very ROMAN
Roman Catholic. Today's modern Catholic Church and 90% of the Clergy
will not even confess belief in a real Lucifer.
Just try and get an exorcisim in the United States today!
Truly..most people have to travel for it out of country.
I went thru the Diaconate (minor holy orders)
but left at the end, telling them that I could not
keep swallowing the apostate garbage they wanted me to,
NO real Satan or demons
NO real state of Hell
MOST of scripture is only myth

Sweet Christ...no wonder the Catholic Church is almost dead in the
Modern world of today...we've forgotten all of the past.

And having forgotten all that was before
they can't deal with it's manifestation today.

If you are so inclined, to study these things,
I'll suggest some sources at the end.
And thru those sources, documented and preserved by the
Catholic Church back when most Clergy took true
evil as a serious reality, you will find plenty of evidence
to show that Satan dearly loves to mock the things
of God, by false or shall we say, limited parodies.

One such mockery, I honestly believe, is the profanation of the blood
(the blood of Christ shed for us) and the rising again of the body.

In a supreme mockery, dead flesh is reanimated or used as a catalyst
through which the demonic may assume a physical manifesation,
capable of outwardly afflicting a human being.

Both physically bringing harm to the person thru the taking of blood,
and spiritually damaging them through the assault physically.

Study the cases and you'll find, similar to demoniacs, that the goal
is not just the destruction of the individual, but of the
family and society around them. Causing doubt of faith,
and raising despair, causing focus on the powers
of Satan, and distraction from the power of God~

So...no thunderbolts of insight from me.
If you have read the material above, you may be
struck, like I am, with seeing how such a thing could be,
and likely, has been. It would also explain why this
is a event that is not always ongoing. It simply is outside
Satan's power to maintain it, but not to bring it about from time
to time in history or in future.

I realize, this was a rather loooong winded way
of getting to the point, but my position hangs upon the
areas we discussed earlier. Having contemplated them, the existence
of a true evil entity such as a vampire, may become more
plausible for you to consider.

In older times, folks were not afraid to speak of the demonic, but since
the 1900's onward, and the ideology of humanism, people
are not prone to admit that anything dark has come upon
them for fear of ridicule-as they'll be scorned.

So, people who believe in the reality of Darkness and Light,
wind up debating it here on websites.

Modern Catholic theologians don't believe and
have gone to childish lengths to deny evil, for fear of
seeming old world superstitious~

~non-Catholic christian religions won't EVEN examine the older
Catholic writings and testimonies...just because it's "Catholic".

So, you are stuck with sites like this or GhostBusters.

I mentioned a good source for historical writings:

TAN BOOKS AND PUBLISHERS, INC.
P.O. BOX 424
ROCKFORD, ILLINOIS 61105

They are dedicated to historical works, often translating them over from
Latin or French, such as the works of Leon Bloy's
"Evidence of Satan in the modern world", and,
"Hell-the dogma of hell" by Fr. FX Schouppe, S.J.

And many others...and the list of worth-while sources they list
in many of these books is, in itself, a treasure trove.
